Jiro, a high school senior born and raised in Teine-ku, Sapporo, forms a band with his friends and practices guitar with the goal of performing at a concert, but they are unable to find a vocalist.
When Jiro hears a rumor that a transfer student, Joya, is the vocalist of a popular Tokyo band, he tries to ask Joya to join the band, but he is completely turned down.
Still, Jiro persistently tries to get involved with Joya. Finally, Joya gets tired of it and offers Jiro a condition to join the band.
